Lorestan railway is an important part of Iran's rail network due to its mountainous nature. The railway of Lorestan province is now 215 km, with 15 stations along the route. Lorestan Railway has 133 tunnels. This route is along the rivers of Dez and Sezar. Construction of the north-south railroad began in 1927 and was launched in 1938
